In 2025, I’ve set several goals for my professional development, including earning new certifications, upgrading my home lab, and building confidence in more advanced networking and cybersecurity skills.
So far, I’ve earned the Extreme Certified Professional – Site Engine certification and am currently preparing for the Extreme Certified Professional – ExtremeCloud IQ and ExtremeCloud IQ – Controller exams. I’ve nearly completed the Cyber Security 101 learning path on TryHackMe and have also completed several rooms on Hack The Box.
Additionally, I’ve begun studying for the Cisco CCNP, CWNA, and Fortinet FortiGate Administrator certifications, with plans to take some of these exams later this year. I also took the beta exam for the new CompTIA Linux+ (XK1-006) and expect to receive my results in July when the exam is officially released.
Lastly, I’ve begun upgrading my home lab to include a Proxmox server hosting both PNETLab and Cisco Modeling Labs (CML). I plan to use these platforms to deepen my networking knowledge across multiple vendors, including Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Aruba, and Fortinet.
I’m proud of the progress I’ve made so far and excited to continue leveling up my skills throughout the rest of the year.
